Rancho Cordova has two kinds of houses: the 1950s to 1970s homes built for Aerojet and Mather families around Cordova Meadows and Lincoln Village, and the 2000s two-story homes in Anatolia and Sunridge. They fail differently and we work on both. AC repair, furnace repair, Amana installs and tune-ups from a family team licensed since 2007. Call 916-675-1062.
The older half of Rancho Cordova, between Folsom Boulevard and the American River, was built for the workers at Aerojet and Mather Air Force Base: Cordova Meadows, Cordova Gardens and Lincoln Village, single-story homes from the 1950s to the 1970s with attic or closet furnaces and, on many roofs, a packaged heating and cooling unit. Those packaged units are our specialty; we replace them like for like, crane included.
The newer half, Anatolia, Sunridge and Kavala Ranch off Sunrise Boulevard and Douglas Road, is two-story homes from the 2000s, often with two systems and long attic duct runs. Their problems are uneven floors and systems that were sized for the builder’s budget, not the house. Nearby, we also serve Sacramento and Folsom, and every city we cover is on our service areas page.
Owner Phillip Olmstead, his son Maxwell and installer Kevin Shpyrka run the Rancho Cordova jobs. Jenn Fiechter books them from Roseville, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Every service has its own page with what is included and what is not. Mini-splits and water heaters are installation and replacement only; we do not take repair calls on them. Regular tune-ups are covered by our maintenance plan.

Approved work is completed, the system is run through a full check, and the area is cleaned up.
Yes. Most of Rancho Cordova is 22 to 30 minutes from the shop. Call 916-675-1062 and tell us what the system is doing, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Yes, that is common in the older Rancho Cordova neighborhoods. We replace packaged units like for like with Amana equipment, set by crane on the existing curb, ducts resealed at the roof.
Yes. The City of Rancho Cordova issues the mechanical permit for a change-out and inspects it. We file it.
Often, yes. In two-story 2000s homes that is usually duct sizing, a weak return or a single system asked to do two floors. We test airflow room by room and give you the options, from duct repair to zoning to a second system.
No. We install and replace both, but we do not take repair or service calls on them. Central air, furnaces and heat pumps are what we repair.
Our ducts gave out in the middle of a heat wave. Kevin and Max had the new ones in before the weekend and Jenn kept us posted the whole time.
Furnace repair in Rancho Cordova is most often an igniter, a flame sensor or an inducer motor that gave out on the first cold night after sitting idle all summer. The technician tests in order, names the failed part and shows you the price before any work starts. We do not light a furnace with a suspected gas leak or a cracked heat exchanger. Furnace replacement with a matched Amana system is priced beside the repair when the heat exchanger is the problem. See our furnace and heating repair page.
