Sacramento Houses Were Not Built For Their Air Conditioners

East Sacramento, Land Park and Curtis Park homes from the 1920s to the 1940s got their ducts decades after they were built, squeezed into attics and floor chases. Arden-Arcade, Tahoe Park and South Land Park filled in through the 1950s and 1960s with single-story ranches and attic furnaces. Natomas and the Pocket are newer, two-story, often with two systems. Each one fails a different way, and we have worked on all of them.

Sacramento summers run 70 or more days at or above 90 degrees, and the delta breeze does not always arrive. That is when an undersized return or a leaking duct shows up as a back bedroom that never cools. We test the whole system before we recommend anything, and you get the price and the reason before work starts. Nearby, we also serve Carmichael and Rancho Cordova, and every city we cover is on our service areas page.

Owner Phillip Olmstead still runs jobs with his son Maxwell and installer Kevin Shpyrka. Jenn Fiechter answers the phone at the Roseville office, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Why Sacramento Homeowners Call A Roseville Company

The systems in the city are older on average than in the suburbs, and the summers are the same. A small team that shows you the part and the price is worth the drive.

Sacramento HVAC Questions

Do you really serve all of Sacramento from Roseville?

Yes. Sacramento is our first priority service area. Most of the city is 20 to 35 minutes from the shop, and the same five-person team that started here in 2007 runs the jobs.

Yes, that is the most common install we do. Attic air handlers between the rafters, new plenums and a proper drain are our daily work. See the before-and-after photo above.

Yes, inside city limits the City of Sacramento requires a mechanical permit for a change-out, and Sacramento County covers unincorporated areas like Arden-Arcade. We file it and the inspection is part of the job.

No. We do not run nights or weekends. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Call 916-675-1062 and tell us what the system is doing.

All of them: Arden-Arcade, Carmichael, East Sacramento, Midtown, Land Park, Curtis Park, Tahoe Park, Natomas, North Sacramento, the Pocket and Greenhaven. Elk Grove and Rancho Cordova too.

I sincerely appreciate the outstanding service I received from Bronco HVAC in July 2026. The owner was prompt and professional, taking photos and measurements then recommending which new HVAC system would work best for my home. The estimator thoroughly explained the installation process, how they would seal all leaks then test the new system, etc. He not only advised me of two rebates that were available on my new Amanda Variable HVAC system, but he also made all the rebate processing incredibly simple.
