The blower runs but the air is not cool. A failed capacitor, a dirty coil or low refrigerant are common causes, and a technician has to test to know which.
A humming outdoor unit whose fan is not turning, or one that clicks and goes quiet, needs a look before it runs longer.

Roseville summers run above 100 degrees for stretches most years, and many Roseville houses are tract homes built between the 1970s and the 2000s. The air handler usually sits in the attic, and the single-stage condenser sits in a side yard. Single-stage means one speed: all out until the house reaches the set temperature, so a long hot stretch finds whatever is weak.
