Furnace will not light, blows cold air, shuts off after a minute or smells wrong? Call 916-675-1062. Jenn books the call, a Bronco technician diagnoses the problem, you hear the price, and you decide. Gas furnaces, attic air handlers and heat pumps in heating mode, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Bronco has 60 Google reviews at 4.8 stars. These four are about repair calls, copied as written.
“Our heater had gone out during these chilly temperatures, and while some companies might not have treated it with urgency, Jennifer absolutely did. … Phil arrived, bright and early, he’s a friendly and easy-to-talk-to guy who took the time to clearly explain the issue and what needed to be done. … The work was done professionally, quickly, and at a price that was more than reasonable.”
“He quickly diagnosed an issue with our dampers that was causing uneven heat distribution in our new house and fixed it efficiently. What really stood out was how clearly he explained everything and walked us through the solution. … He also wasn’t pushy at all about their service plan, which is rare in this industry.”
“I found them because I had signed up for a service plan with one of their competitors. Last year when my system needed an actual repair, their competitors rewarded my loyalty with a bid for over $2K! Phil came out and fixed my system that day in about an hour for $200.”
“Today, Bronco completed work on my older HVAC that was inconsistently blowing air (off/on) by replacing a circuit board and rewiring some circuits. … The price for the circuit board and labor seemed very fair. No deposit or initial labor cost was incurred until the part was installed and the work was completed on the second visit.”

Jenn Fiechter books the call, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5. Tell her what the furnace is doing: no heat, cold air, short cycling or a smell.
A Bronco technician finds the fault and explains it. Phillip Olmstead, the owner, still runs calls himself.
Diagnosis first, then a price for the repair. If the furnace is near the end of its life, you hear that too.
Repair it, wait, or price a replacement.
Any of these in heating season is worth a call. Gas furnaces, attic air handlers and heat pumps in heating mode.
If you smell gas, leave the house without touching switches or the thermostat, and call PG&E from outside. Once PG&E says the house is safe, call us.

Many Roseville houses are tract homes built between the 1970s and the 2000s, and the furnace or air handler often sits in the attic or a closet. After a summer of 100-degree days with the heat off, the first cold night is its first real test.
A gas furnace installed in the 1990s is now 25 or more years old. At that age the heat exchanger is the part to worry about: a cracked one is a safety problem, and the answer is usually a new furnace rather than a repair. A furnace that will not light or short cycles more often has a worn igniter, a dirty flame sensor, a failed blower motor or a bad control board, and those are repairs.
Gas here comes from PG&E, and most of Roseville’s electricity comes from Roseville Electric. We book heating repair across Roseville, from Old Roseville and Diamond Oaks to Westpark, Fiddyment Farm and Sun City Roseville.

Many furnace problems are repairs. A few are not, and you should hear which one yours is from the person looking at it, with the numbers side by side.
“Phil and Alison offered highly responsive and professional service when our 30-year old HVAC system broke down last winter. They sourced a high-quality unit and handled the roof install super efficiently and at a competitive price.”
“While we’re grateful to have heat in our home again, we’re even more thankful for the human touch and clear communication we got from Bronco.”
If it comes to a replacement, California Title 24 requires a permit and duct testing on most of them, and the installation page covers what that involves. We install Amana, and Bronco offers financing through Wisetack.
The Bronco maintenance plan is $14.49 a month per system, with a spring visit and a fall visit: a cooling tune-up in spring and a heating tune-up in fall. The fall visit puts a technician at your furnace before the cold nights instead of after.
per month, per system
A spring visit and a fall visit
Short cycling is often a dirty flame sensor, a clogged filter that lets the furnace overheat, or a limit switch tripping. Check the filter first, and replace it if it is clogged. If the furnace keeps shutting off, call and tell the office what it is doing so a technician can test the sensor, the airflow and the limit switch.
Yes. Bronco installs and repairs heat pumps, so a heat pump that ices over, runs in only one mode or blows cool air in winter is a call we take. Our heat pump repair page has more.
No. Leave the house without touching switches or the thermostat, and call PG&E from outside. Once PG&E says the house is safe, call us.
The Roseville office is open Monday to Friday, 8 to 5, and Jenn books the calls. Call when you first notice the problem and tell her what the furnace is doing.
It depends on what failed, so a technician diagnoses it first and you get a price for the repair before you decide. Ask what the visit involves when you call. If a repair turns into a replacement, Bronco offers financing through Wisetack.
