From the estimate to the old equipment hauled away

★★★★★

“I sincerely appreciate the outstanding service I received from Bronco HVAC in July 2026. The owner was prompt and professional, taking photos and measurements then recommending which new HVAC system would work best for my home.

…

The delivery subcontractor was great in not blocking my single-car driveway with the heavy equipment. The installation technician was totally professional, he explained everything and answered all my questions; in addition, he was totally respectful of my property and pets, and was incredibly tidy. The young apprentice was also very courteous, responsive, and respectful, especially when navigating the ladder to reach all the registers. The crane operator arrived ahead of schedule so the tech pivoted and accommodated the timing change. Due to his extensive experience, when the technician realized the air handler was deeper than the closet, he made the necessary adjustments for a completely professional installation in line with all codes. Even the subcontractor who came to collect all the previous equipment piled on the curb, was prompt and very professional.

All my interactions with Bronco HVAC staff and subcontractors were completely professional and highly efficient, and the pricing was absolutely fair. I could not be more delighted. Thank you.”

Many houses in older neighborhoods were built before central air was common, so an installation can be a first central system: room for an air handler and a path for the ducts and the lines. On a tight lot a crane may be needed. The review above describes a crane day, and an air handler that was deeper than the closet it was going into.

Natomas and other tract homes

Many Sacramento tract homes have the air handler in the attic and a single-stage system. A replacement means working in the attic, on a platform with a pan under the unit, and connecting to the ducts that are already there.

Bronco installs across Sacramento, including Natomas, Land Park, East Sacramento, Arden Arcade, Pocket, Tahoe Park, Oak Park, Elmhurst, Curtis Park and Midtown. SMUD serves Sacramento County and PG&E supplies gas. California Title 24 requires a permit and duct testing on most replacements, and an inspection follows.

What Happens Before You Decide

Free estimates on new systems. Call 916-675-1062 or use Request a Free Estimate, and Jenn Fiechter in the Roseville office books the visit, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5. We drive down from the Roseville shop at 373 Caldarella Cir.

Paying for a new system

Bronco offers financing through Wisetack, and military members get 10% off. Mention it when you call. Every install contract spells out the warranty in writing: a labor warranty with Bronco, typically one or two years, and the manufacturer’s parts warranty, typically ten years.

// Repair Or Replace

Replace It, Or Repair It Once More?

Not every failure means a new system. When one part has failed on an air conditioner that is otherwise in good shape, a repair is usually the better buy. A failed compressor, or repairs that keep coming back, is the point to ask for a replacement price beside the repair price. Valley summers are hard on a system that is already struggling.

An honest read on an aging unit

★★★★★

“They diagnosed and repaired our unit quickly and gave us an honest assessment of our aging unit. They did not pressure us to buy a new unit, but we will definitely use them when the time comes to replace it.”

// Heat Pump Option

Cooling Now, Heating Too?

A heat pump cools like an air conditioner and also heats. As of October 2026, SMUD lists heat pump rebates, the federal 25C credit has ended and TECH Clean California is fully reserved; check current terms on our rebates page. Sacramento is on SMUD, so SMUD’s program is the one to check. Bronco is in SMUD’s contractor network and signed up with TECH Clean California, and we fill out the rebate paperwork for you. See heat pump installation for how a heat pump compares.

A SMUD rebate, in a customer's words

★★★★★

“Phil and Alison offered highly responsive and professional service when our 30-year old HVAC system broke down last winter. They sourced a high-quality unit and handled the roof install super efficiently and at a competitive price. Alison took care of our SMUD rebate submission; zero effort on our part.”
